Shadow of His Love

He met here in the fall of '93 in the hills of Tennessee, she was barely 17, he was tall and strong and lean, they were deep in love by June, hand in hand beneath that moon. He'd just hum along every night after long work

They sang and dance all night till down, on the hill side, they were young and they were free like a mountain melody as they could be as they sing that  "Little blue ridge mountain"

They got married after then, She was in her mama's wedding gown, they bought a house and settled down, he worked driving all around, all at large town to town and he do come home every night.

She was sitting there waiting for him to come in the front porch light so they dance all alone on that front porch.

Time fly by as they live together as dearly husband and wife but now doctor couldn't tell him what was wrong and they just didn't know, it wasn't very long on that sick bed untill Jesus called her home and he got down on his knee and said "God please don't take my love from me" and he didn't know she was gone.

He want her to sing a "Little blue ridge mountain" more like she has down all along and want to dance with her till dawn on the hill side all alone to let here spend eternity with me like mountain melody in love as we can be.

Now he lives there all alone in the house that they call home in his heart there lies a void, from the absence of her voice he just lays down every night dreams about that front porch light where she sang a little blue ridge mountain song.

He live rest of his life the shadow of their love..
